Getting to Know Us
iMentor Ghana believes that sharing experiences through mentoring is vital in nurturing young people to become responsible adults. In 2019, our Non-Profit Organization realized that by creating a platform for like-minded people to positively influence society through mentorship, responsible leadership, and personal development, we could change lives and strengthen communities. That is why we ultimately decided to launch iMentor Ghana.
To be a catalyst for human and social development as a change agent to hasten the African renaissance with Ghana as the model.
iMentor Ghana seeks to be the ideal organisation with a social support network for nurturing dreams, changing lives and strengthening communities through youth development through mentorship and leadership training.
What We Do
We seek to empower individuals and organisations to realize their potential, aspire for greater heights and build a sustainable future together while building a strong support network. We help build dreams and nurture aspirations into reality.
Why we exist
Leadership, mentorship, and personal development are essential for the upbringing of the youth and every institution in this present day and age. This trinity ensures success as individuals and teams while building lasting networks. Unfortunately, these three important elements are hard to come by these days especially among the youth. There is a seeming gap between the older generation and the current generation resulting in the loss of vital societal norms, values and in some instances institutional memory. The temptation to cut corners in the quest for success coupled with the complete disregard of ethics and certain key values has seen many individuals and institutions fail. It has also resulted in indiscipline owing mainly to the breakdown in the traditional mentoring system where people were groomed by experienced people. The Ghanaian society bemoans this attitude and yet little has been done to remedy the situation. Young adults and professionals have little or no access to support systems to help them through the murky paths in their various journeys. The result of this is the increasing level of suicide, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, and other miscreant behavior as well as the failure of young professionals and entrepreneurs. iMentor Ghana exists to bridge this gap by offering an avenue for personal development through mentorship and leadership training.
